Dr. Colombo and his team are the absolute best! So kind and caring, full of humor and compassion. I also had my teeth cleaned by Kimberly and remarked that they never cause any pain during the process. I highly recommend the entire practice!

I had to have a broken tooth rebounded until I spring for a crown. Dr. Collins got me in straight away and fixed me up in about 20 minutes. The rest of the time was spent reviewing my health history & getting pricing for the crowns I need but have put off with temporary repairs. The cost is very reasonable, they accept most insurance carriers, will handle the billing to the carriers for you, etc. great service & wonderful staff & docs. I highly recommend this group!

MAURICIO COLOMO, DDS 1 January, 2025 For the factual reasons detailed below, Dr. Mauricio Colomo, DDS, of Reston, VA is the best dentist you can trust your dental care to in the Northern VA, Maryland, and DC area. Equally important, Dr. Colomo is an honorable gentleman with a nice sense of humor that puts his patients at ease. He is presently affiliated with “Dental Group at Reston Station”, in Reston, VA. This is not just an opinion but a facts-based assessment. As a scientist myself (Caltech PhD, adjunct faculty at two internationally renown universities in the DC area, former “Scientist of the Year” at a major part of the US Government, author of two technology books, etc.) I deal with facts and evidence and not just opinions, and I am fully qualified to assess objectively another scientist’s competence, experience, and track record of performance. Dr. Colomo has flawlessly completed all of the following dental procedures on me: two root canals, two very challenging bridges, numerous crowns, prompt relief of dental pain, design and delivery of two dentures, and numerous other procedures. All these were performed successfully despite the fact that my teeth had been worn down to almost no usable length as a result of bruxism (tooth grinding). Dr. Colomo always saw me within a day from when I called for an appointment, and always with a welcoming smile despite my numerous calls and office visits. He had kindly given me his cellphone number to call him when needed, something that most medical professionals do not like to do. Lest you think that this expertise and competence is common in the dental and medical profession, rest assured that it is not. Twice I had to complain about two different Virginia dentists to the Virginia Board that regulates health professionals in Virginia; a third dentist (that I did not bother to file a formal complaint against) had to re-cement a crown he put on a tooth of mine an incredible nine (9) times before I gave up on him! On a different occasion, three medical specialists with MD degrees that I had consulted in the past about a lump on my neck (that I was concerned that it may have been a cancerous tumor), had assured me that everything was fine and that the rapidly growing lump was “just an infection’; and all that despite an inept needle biopsy! When I had surgery at my own insistence and against medical advice to remove that lump anyway, it was determined (with “frozen section biopsy” during surgery) to have been a very aggressively growing Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma (a deadly blood cancer) that I was told would have killed me within a very short time if not treated right away (with surgery, chemo, and radiation); that was the cancer that I had been repeatedly told to ignore by those learned “specialists”. In other words, gross incompetence in the medical and dental professions is not uncommon. In light of this, Dr. Colomo’s proven competence and expertise, breadth and depth of experience, promptness, and congeniality are like a breath a fresh air. I had a fantastic experience. My appointment was on time. The office staff and Andrea were all friendly, helpful and warm, offering a welcoming environment from the moment I entered. It has state of the art technology, with a cancer screening test that other dentists don’t offer. Dr. Collins is wonderful, informative and very kind. During my procedure, he was patient, empathetic and skilled. He was thorough in answering all my questions, helping me feel comfortable and supported while discussing my dental concerns.

I have been going to Dr. Messina for 18 years. The dental hygienist does a fine job of cleaning the teeth. My teeth are a mess. I've had braces twice while growing up along with fillings, bridges caps and implants. My teeth have been mostly stable since going to Dr. Messina. He is conservative with his treatments. He does the lowest prices first. I have never been hit with surprise bills. The front desk does a fine job with billing. My situation is always complicated with billing, since I am a retired Fed. First need to go to the primary insurance and then bill my dental insurance. Processing is done as promptly as possible. The 7:00 AM appointments are nice. No traffic and parking problems at that time of day.

A renewed experience was great to see once again.

I’m a recurring patient. The care that I have received from Drs. Canal, Moawad and Collins, and their respective teams, is far superior than any I have experienced elsewhere, and I have been going to dentists for over 70 years! Very professional excellent dental practice

I've been a patient for over 30 years and found the quality of care exemplary throughout. Most recently I had my first tooth ache in memory. Dr. Back saw me within four hours of my call, diagnosed the problem, prescribed antibiotics to treat the infection, and referred for the root canal therapy required.

No one likes going to the dentist but if you need to go, Casey and Dr. Moawad are the best!!! I have been with them for years and have overcome my dental fears due to a remarkable team that works hard to make their patients feel comfortable and at ease.
