Dr. Michael Messina, D.D.S., F.A.S.D.
Dr. Michael Messina completed his undergraduate studies at St. Joseph’s College in New York. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1989. Dr. Messina has completed advanced training for the diagnosis and treatment of Occluso-Muscular Dysfunction, as well as Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) from the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and the Piper Institute.
Dr. Messina serves as Team Dentist for the following organizations:

Dr. Messina has served as a Member of the U.S. Lacrosse Sports Science and Safety Committee and is on the U.S. Soccer Federation Medical Advisory Committee. Dr. Messina has been a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry since 1990, earned his fellowship in 2001, and served on the Board of Directors for the Academy from 2000 to 2003. In 1999, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association.
He also was voted top rated dentist in the Washington Checkbook magazine and recently mentioned by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the Top Dentists in the Washington Metro Area, as selected by his peers.

Dr. Emilio Canal, Jr., D.D.S., F.A.S.D.
Dr. Emilio Canal, Jr. completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, Florida. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990, where he received Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society Award for Excellence in Clinical Achievement.

Dr. Anthony Moawad, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.
Dr. Anthony Moawad received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Saint Joseph University in 2005. He then graduated with High Honors from Boston University as a Doctor in Dental Medicine in 2008. He was awarded the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Moawad has completed advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implantology, Sedation Dentistry, TMD, Laser Dentistry, Sleep Apnea and Invisalign. He received his Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2015.
Dr. Moawad is a Certified Conscious Sedation dentist and a Preferred Invisalign Provider. He has been voted Top Dentist in the Washingtonian, Virginia Living, Northern Virginia and Arlington Magazines.

Dr. Mauricio Colomo, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Mauricio R. Colomo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Mayor de San Andres University in La Paz, Bolivia. He then pursued advanced training in Brazil, where he completed a Master of Science in Endodontics and an Endodontic Specialty Residency.
After returning to Bolivia, Dr. Colomo practiced General Dentistry and Endodontics. He moved to the U.S. to complete a two-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. He has since provided exceptional dental care in Virginia and joined the Dental Group at Reston Station in 2020. Dr Colomo has been practicing and enjoying dentistry for more than 20 years.
Dr. Colomo has advanced training in Endodontics, Implants, Invisalign and Adult Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a Team Dentist for the following:

Dr. Colomo is actively engaged in his community.
In his free time, Dr. Colomo enjoys playing soccer and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Alexander C. Back D.M.D, M.S
Dr. Al Back received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech in 2016. After graduation, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where he earned both his Master of Science in Oral Health and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University. While in dental school, Dr. Back was a founding member and served on the Board of Directors for the Boston University Dental Aesthetics Society.
Upon completing his studies, Dr. Back returned to Virginia to join the Dental Group at Reston Station. As a former patient of the practice, he is excited to offer the same high standard of care that he once received. He has a particular passion for cosmetic dentistry, TMJ treatment, and implant dentistry.
An avid sports fan, Dr. Back is proud to serve as the Team Dentist for several organizations, including:

Dr. Chaz Taylor Collins D.M.D., A.F.A.A.I.D.
Dr. Chaz T. Collins was born in Fairfax County and was raised throughout Northern Virginia; spending most of his time here playing ice hockey. Dr. Collins completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Virginia, where he majored in Chemistry and completed a minor in Religious Studies. After graduating in 2016, he took a year off to work and experience some traveling. Dr. Collins then graduated from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine with High Honors before returning home to Virginia.
He excitedly returned home to Northern Virginia to work and rejoin the local community his family has been a part of for three generations.
